Unilever Foodsolutions' Chefmanship Arena ® was a success at the 2009 Internorga fair in Germany

		The 83rd edition of the Internorga – Europe’s leading trade fair for catering and food services - again surpassed in size compared to prior years. 103.000 trade visitors from Germany and abroad where offered showcase products and services from 1.050 exhibitors from 26 countries.

With feelings of uncertainty during these times of economic downturn yet a curiosity on new developments and innovations, the 2009 Internorga was a good opportunity for those to share views and learn about the possibilities for the coming year.

Unilever Foodsolutions (UFS) offered visitors a Chefmanship Arena® where chefs showed what cooking tricks to use, and how to apply them to every occasion . Hereby also supporting the needs of visitors to save costs, yet in addition reach additional revenues.

The Unilever Foodsolutions unit showed three different set-ups: Innovation, HORE (Hotels & Restaurants) and Canteens, giving each segment individual attention.

By simulating these different cooking situations, UFS emphasised its ambition to be the perfect partner for cooks.

The businesses proudly presented the on-time completion of the new product in the KNORR Professional range. After the success of KNORR Professional bouillon, Unilever Foodsolutions has introduced a Professional spice and herb purée in several varieties: Curry, Thyme, Paprika, and Mediterranean.

With an average of almost 800 viewers per day, the live webcast that made it possible for outsiders to join from a distance, was viewed throughout nine different countries.

The German trade press cited; “The way the team at the booth is working, it is real Chefmanship! They are proud of what they do and full of passion!” They also recognised that Unilever Foodsolutions is making the real change from selling products to offering solutions and innovations perfectly meeting the needs of foodservice operators.
